Parkland, situated in the northern part of Broward County, is a lush and private community renowned for its family-friendly environment. Parkland offers gorgeous parks, winding trails, and charming shopping areas in the city.  Parkland provides a secluded environment, while offering close proximity to the more active and vibrant cities of Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton. It is a rapidly growing community, with A+ schools and an overall family-friendly atmosphere.

Recreation in Parkland


The city of Parkland is close to both the Town Center Mall in Boca Raton and Coral Square Mall in Coral Springs, offering customers in the area a great selection. Both malls feature a wide array of stores, giving people plenty of options for their shopping needs. 

Some staple restaurants in Parkland include: 

  • Malbec Grill- Unique steakhouse fare, influenced by Latin American flavors and culture, in an intimate and sophisticated atmosphere.
  • Bluefin Sushi- Top-notch Japanese and Thai cuisine.
  • Queen’s Tea House- a Modern take on the classic Afternoon Tea

Night Life

Since Parkland is mainly a residential area, residents often travel to nearby cities like West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, or Miami for nightlife options. Each city has their own unique characteristics and offerings.

West Palm Beach is known for its lively downtown area, Clematis Street, which features numerous bars, restaurants, and shops. It also has a vibrant arts scene, with cultural attractions such as the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts and the Norton Museum of Art. 

Fort Lauderdale, on the other hand, is often referred to as the "Venice of America" due to its extensive system of canals. It's a popular destination for boating and water sports enthusiasts, as well as for its beautiful beaches. Fort Lauderdale also has a thriving arts and culture scene, with attractions such as the Broward Center for the Performing Arts and the NSU Art Museum.

Miami, the largest of the three cities, is known for its vibrant nightlife, diverse culture, and stunning beaches. It's home to world-famous attractions such as South Beach, the Art Deco Historic District, and the Wynwood Walls street art district. Miami is also a hub for international business and finance, and has a thriving culinary scene with a mix of Latin, Caribbean, and other international cuisines.


Parkland is known for its many parks and fun outdoor activities. The city has something to offer for all ages.

Pine Trails Park, 10555 Trails End 

Pine Trails Park features many amenities such as barbecue grills, basketball courts, fishing, multiple fields and playgrounds, and walking trails. City sports take place on the fields, and there are pavilions available to reserve. A day in Parkland wouldn’t be complete without a trip to this wonderful park. 

Parkland Equestrian Center, 8350 Ranch Rd 

The Parkland Equestrian Center is the place to go for all things horseback riding related. Home to The Parkland Horseman’s Association, a nonprofit organization for horse enthusiasts, this center offers multiple shows and clinics.  

Dog park 

Barkland Dog Park, 9245 Ranch Rd 

Barkland is the perfect place for your pets to play. Spanning a little over 2 acres, the park offers a slew of amenities made just for dogs like water fountains, picnic tables, and trails. 


Parkland Day

​​​​​​​Parkland Day celebrates the founding of Parkland complete with a parade, historical society exhibit, rides and games, business expo, and shows for residents to enjoy.

Movies in the Park

Movies in the Park is located at the Pine Trails Park Amphitheater. Residents are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs, enjoy a family-friendly movie, and have the opportunity to be a sponsor. 

Farmers Market

The Parkland Farmers’ Market is offered on Sundays from November through April. Each week offers different expos/fairs. Customers can purchase fresh fruit, vegetables, flowers, baked goods and so much more. Gourmet foods are available, too.
